Description

It is a matte gold - it may have had more of a rich gilt feel at another stage

Looks like they are based on the Marly Horses which were two 1743–1745 Carrara marble sculpted groups by Guillaume Coustou

22 x 40 x 2cm

with just teeny areas on the surface where the gilt has come off the tray but this does not detract from the beauty of it

A beautiful wooden pediment with a glorious patina

1930s Japanese Stoneware Sake Jar vintage steps It is a matte goldA beautiful, handmade stoneware sake bottle jar, circa 1930s. In times gone by, the wealthier class would buy large barrels of sake, while the less fortunate would have their own Tokkuri ceramic sake jars with their names written on them and store the sake in these. They make wonderful decorative pieces with so many tales to tell or you could place a single stem in the jar. Dimensions 27cm tall x 14cm wide with a 2. 1cm opening Delivery 4. 80 UK
